New! Advanced Catamaran Skills Week with Joe (May 3rd)

We kick the season off with a brand new training with Joe Bennett, Wildwind manager extraordinaire and recognised the world over for his very successful YouTube channel Joyrider TV with over 10 million views so far.. Joe will teach experienced catamaran sailors high-off advanced skills that will really up your game!

This intensive training is limited to 8 participants and will be primarily using Hobie Formula 18 Tigers, although use can be made of the entire Wildwind fleet which includes Tornados, Goodhall C2 as well as Hobie FX One, 16's and 14.

Experience required: you should be comfortable sailing around a course, tacking, gybing, experience trapezing as a crew member at least and know how to right a capsized boat, all in winds of up to about 16 knots. Preferably you have experience sailing a catamaran with daggerboards and a spinnaker or are just about ready to learn how to use those.

The training will be tailored to the specific needs and ability of the participants, but topics include: light wind sailing skills, sailing in though conditions (15 to 25 knots), boat handling, line strategies, navigating efficiency, rounding marks and boat tuning.
